DANCEworks: Aszure Barton & Artists came to the Lobero Theatre from New York for a month-long residency to create a new work comissioned by Diane Vapnik (Summerdance of Santa Barbara) and the Lobero Theatre Foundation. These photos are a behind-the-scenes record of this process, culminating in the performance of what was eventually called "Busk." There's also a gallery of a fundraiser for DANCEworks featuring Cat Power including one number accompanied by 2 dancers from Aszure & Artists. I also videotaped the same sessions and the first edited installment is here.
