There is probably no more universal form of human expression than music. It has been around as long as people have communicated–maybe longer. It transcends language and cultural differences. Music is one of the most important and vital parts of my life, and photographing some of the greatest performers in the world is my favorite kind of work.
Through my lens, I get an up-close, intimate view of performers that makes nearly as direct an emotional impact as the music itself. To be able to keep and share that experience, through the photogrpahs I take, is like having my cake and eating it too.
