This gallery is a sampling of some of the photos I've taken over the last 3 months. It is a thankyou for all the love and support I get from so many wonderful people around the world.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM WINTER '09 included:__Feasting at UCSB Arts & Lectures – The Blue Note 7 gave new meaning to some of the greatest jazz of all time featuring tenor man Ravi Coltrane (son of John) and some tasty licks by guitarist Peter Bernstein and trumpeter Nicholas Payton. A week later some hot gumbo was served up by the Neville Bros! The Trey McIntyre Project's show was a dance-lover's treat. The Keys to New Orleans gave us another big serving of spicy auditory cuisine from the Big Easy, and the 5 Peace Band put on a scorching set of something better than fusion–more like fission! __ Ensemble Theatre Co. put on a fine and atmospheric "Buried Child" and a searing and funny "In the Continuum" for some remarkable theater._ _I won't soon forget Santa Barbara Dance Theatre's "Life Cycle of Trees," or the rest of their show! _Over at the Lobero – Sings Like Hell, Kurt Elling, Joan Baez, Phoebe Snow, Mariza and Manhattan Transfer all made musical magic. Aszure Barton and Artists did a month-long residency to set a new piece comissioned by DANCEworks – check out the separate galleries chronicling this fascinating process here. __The Santa Barbara Symphony's 2nd Annual Guitar Featival was a week-long orgy of the many sides of that stringed beguiler, featuring Laurence Juber, Leo Kotke, a premier of "The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote" with music by the LA Guitar Quartet and read to hilarious effect by John Cleese; the Ray Brown Trio w/Russell Malone, the Brasil Guitar Duo and topped off by a fine performance of LAGQ and the Symphony.__ Gabriela Montero's improvisations were an astonishing treat and there were other mighty fine classical gems coutesy of Camerata Pacifica, the Estonian NSO w/Joyce Yang, and the Tokyo String Quartet w/Paul Berkowitz.__ Opera Santa Barbara presented 2 ambitous productions highlighting 2 very different operas, taking full advantage of their new, grander home at the Granada Theatre: Bizet's "Carmen" and Franz Lehar's "The Merry Widow."__ Peter Lackner directed a moving and sensitive production of "ONE DAY: Sarah House" filled with humor, magic and love. and so much more...
